History of Company Innovation
Our deep industry knowledge and experience combined with our ongoing aggressive research and design program has rendered time and money savings for maintenance of way gangs. Some of our innovative accomplishments include:

• Developed the first ride-on tie plugging machine where the operators are seated during track travel and while filling the ties with the compound.
• Developed the first tie plugger specifically designed for use in the consist of a tie gang to repair versus replace ties with elongated spike holes. This process resulted in a 93% savings in repair versus replacement of the ties.
• The first to incorporate safety stop bars on all machines to prevent the possibility of accidentally running over the operators or other people on track near the plugger.
• Developed an epoxy application machine to safely and quickly repair abraded concrete ties.
